About Me – Craig, Founder of Bassetlaw Pro-Clean Ltd & hopefully part of you journey to success.
Hi, I’m Craig, and if you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for a change - maybe you’re tired of working long hours for someone else, frustrated by job insecurity, or simply wanting more control over your future.
I know that feeling because I was in the exact same position five years ago. I spent years working in the engineering industry, doing shifts that drained my time and energy, with little to show for it beyond a monthly payslip. The idea of being my own boss was something I thought about constantly, but like many people, I wasn’t sure where to start or if it was even possible.
Then one day, after a particularly bad day at work, I decided to stop wondering and actually do something about it.
I started Bassetlaw Pro-Clean Ltd as a side business while still working full-time. It wasn’t easy - I was working all day, then spending my evenings marketing, quoting jobs, and learning everything I could about carpet and upholstery cleaning. I made mistakes, learned from them, and kept going.
Within a year, my "side hustle" was bringing in more income than my full-time job. I had built a solid customer base, won contracts with estate agents, landlords, and even local councils, and gained the confidence to finally do what so many dream of - I handed in my notice and went full-time with my business. I had sacked my boss!!!!
Fast forward to today, and Bassetlaw Pro-Clean is a trusted name in professional carpet and upholstery cleaning, working with homeowners, landlords, businesses, and even the NHS. We’ve grown through word of mouth, repeat customers, and a reputation for getting results.
